Trusted Advisor or SAP Program Advisor is the most popular role where the Executive Sponsor, CIO or CFO of the company engages our senior partner to provide comprehensive independent oversight to the SAP implementation. In this role we provide end to end oversight and guidance to all aspects of the program starting from initiation, business case development followed by IT vendor assessments all the way leading to execution and deployment of the new SAP systems landscape. This is a leadership role championing both business and IT side of the program which also comes with adequate level of executive authority to make strategic changes to assure the success of the SAP project(s) which may include adjustments to implementation methodology, people, Q-gates, etc.

Business Program Manager is a program leadership role that represents the business and ensures that all deliverables from business and tasks are completed with adequate quality while also ensuring that IT team is delivering the SAP solution as per the expectations set by the business executive leadership. Business Program Manager takes the lead in defining the business case, scope for the project(s),business requirements gathering, blueprint of solution incl process design, business acceptance of Q-gates and also overseeing the cutover activities. Business Program Manager also assesses several deliverables throughout the program on behalf of the business by partnering with departmental business leads and also ensures that UAT is complete with adequate quality followed by well structured end user training.

SAP Program Manager is yet another signature role we offer which is primarily an IT leadership position which is aimed at assuming the overall accountability for the program from IT perspective by overseeing the delivery from the PMO while ensuring the program adheres to the timeline, budget and quality benchmarks. This may not champion the business activities as represented by the business program manager. In the absence of a Program Advisor, the SAP Program Manager will work with the executive sponsor of the program to ensure there is a dedicated business program leader playing the role of Business Program Manager which will partner with the individual in the equivalent IT role. SAP Program Manager also leads the governance, project leadership and approves the deliverables produced throughout the lifecycle of the program.

SAP Project Manager or IT PMO Lead is an typical IT hands-on role that drives the setup, execution, tracking and reporting of project progress by working closely with the program and project leadership while partnering with the IT vendors which may include Big 4 consulting companies or boutique SAP implementation partners. The Project Manager works under the direction of the program managers to ensure that project is meeting the expectations of the Steering Committee and business stakeholders. Project plan creation, resource planning, progress tracking, issues management, driving project meetings and leading communications to internal & external constituents are some of the key tasks undertaken by the project manager.
